Sooo...we got married on Saturday December 20. More details to follow for that... Today I would just like to discuss our newfound love of shower caps and hair dryers.
We were freezing. Options: turn on the heat in our hotel room or take hot showers. Turning on the heat would probably have been the easier option, but then I would sweat and feel gross because I have absolutely no temperature regulation. A hot shower was the answer for me, but I didn't want to wash my hair again until the morning so I put on the beloved shower cap.
I have to admit that I kind of felt like my grandma, but as soon as I got in the shower, it was like the heavens opened. Seriously, I was absolutely thrilled with the fact that I could get warm and clean and not have to deal with wet hair afterward. I know this is not a novelty. Shower caps have been stylin' for many years. It's just taken me 25 years to finally embrace the beauty of them. Thanks to the Redlands Ayres Hotel for helping me with that.
Next item: hair dryers. Jeff has a newfound love of hair dryers. He discovered this love the same evening that I discovered my love of shower caps. Jeff was pretty excited to learn that he could get warm from simply turning on the hair dryer and blowing it on his face and chest. He also enjoyed watching water particles move around as the hair dryer blew on them. Hopefully that wording makes sense.
Now that we're officially married, hopefully we'll update the blog a little more. Stay tuned for amazing updates about the wedding festivities. Actually, don't get your hopes up. They probably won't be amazing. Have very low expectations of our blogging abilities...
