Grocery Bags

Molly absolutely loves being on the changing table; She's usually happy and smiley when she's there. After we change a poopy diaper, we put it in a grocery bag. Whenever we pull it out, she acts like we're shoving it in her face. I've recreated the situation here.

Cutest Kid Ever

We do love our little cutie. She's always making really funny or cute faces.
Last Sunday after church. I just put her into the chair and she loved it.
A classic tuckered out look

She always puts her hands on her face or in some weird pose.

On Saturday we went to Maddie's baseball game. I took Sam to play on the playground. We had a blast. Here is Sam looking through the holes.

2 Months

Molly is 2 months today! She had her 2 month checkup and she was a little rockstar. She smiled while they weighed her and held her head up perfectly for the doctor. She is 9 lbs. 3 oz. and 22.5 inches long. Weight wise, she's in the 12th percentile. Height wise, she's in the 56th percentile. Tall and skinny. She got her immunizations and cried when they put the needle in, but was totally fine after. What a trooper. Here are some pictures from her appointment and from this last week:

More Molly

Molly is 7 weeks today.  She is growing so fast!
I love this little outfit!  It still drowns her, but she wore it for part of a day...
We don't love tummy time.  Check out the veins on the side of her head.  They bulge when she freaks out.
I will never get sick of her sleeping pictures.  I love how she sleeps like this when we're holding her.

Jeff loves this little girl.  I love when he gets home from work and our evening consists of things like this:
And this:  Yep.  Molly's face is about the same size as Jeff's mouth.
This is how she napped for a while today:
Dad's way of swaddling.  She actually stopped crying as soon as Jeff tucked her arms in her pants, but then started again when I took her picture.
Molly is pretty much the center of our lives so we don't really have anything else to write about.  She's cute though so we're glad to have lots of pictures to post now.

Molly Pictures

Molly is almost 6 weeks!  The time is going so fast and she is changing so much every day.
She is balding more on the top of her head.  She's like a little old man and it's super cute.  I did want her to look like a girl...not an old man so I put the flower on her head.  She was a good sport about it.

She always falls asleep like this when we are burping her or just holding her. It's so cute.
I love her face in this picture. She looks so annoyed.

Look at those cute little feet sticking out.
This is our favorite thing to do.  I'm glad that she loves her sleep.
We've all been sick this last week and it's been a little rough. Molly was really congested and stuffed up and couldn't breathe very well. It was so sad to watch her and listen to her, but she was such a trooper. She wasn't any more fussy and still smiled and was totally mellow. We are so lucky to have such a chill kid. I ended up taking her to the doctor...I'm a paranoid new mommy and am freaked out about RSV, but she's fine...and found out she's now 8 lbs. 8 oz. and 20.5 inches which means she's grown a full inch and gained almost 2 lbs since she was born.  I can't believe how fast time is going and how much she is growing.  I love just hanging out with her all day and could stare at her and do nothing else.  We love this little girl so much!

Molly's Blessing

All of our Oregon family was in town the first weekend of March so we blessed Molly.  It was such a great experience to see Jeff bless Molly.  He is a good man and a perfect husband and dad.  It was so nice to have all our family here.  Busy, but nice.
Both sides of the fam.  We love them and Sam loves Jeff.
Molly was HUNGRY and needed a diaper change.  Those are the only 2 things that make this girl unhappy.

My mom made her dress.  Isn't it perfect?
I love her little feet.  My mom found these booties and sewed the little flowers on from the ribbon she used on the dress.

This picture kills me.  She still doesn't know what to do with those little arms.
Molly has her mouth open more often than not.

We're big fans of this baby.  She's pretty much perfect.
Happy blessing day to Molly!

Things I've Learned

The last 3ish weeks have been full of learning experiences.
1.  When I know I'm in labor, I shouldn't pretend like I'm not.  Embrace it.  Don't go into work to finish a few things and end up having my boss take me to the hospital.  Not a good idea.

2.  Epidurals are heaven sent.  I don't know how people give birth without them.  Truly.

3.  When people say "Sleep when baby sleeps," they mean it.  Otherwise, you will never sleep.

4.  I can in fact function on very little sleep.  I may not be emotionally stable or very pleasant, but I can actually do it.  Molly loves her sleep, though.  Just like her mom.

5.  Success and productivity have taken on new meanings.  Getting showered and bathing Molly and making a meal is a successful day.  Actually, just getting me showered is a successful day.

6.  It's ok to still be a little crazy after having a baby.  Pregnancy hormones make you crazy...and delivering the baby makes you even more crazy.  It's cool to cry.

It's all 100% worth it when you get to hang out with this all day:
